First ever black-tie
HANGAR BALL
In an unprecedented gesture, CHC Helicopters has opened the doors of its operational aircraft hangar at Aberdeen International Airport for one extraordinary night, transforming it into a spectacular black-tie gala setting for the first ever hangar ball of its kind.

You are invited to step beyond the ordinary and be part of a truly historic evening in support of the Royal Marines Charity. Arriving via a floodlit runway gantry, you will receive an official Royal Marines welcome before taking your place beneath soaring hangar ceilings.
Surrounded by iconic military displays and proud symbols of military heritage, guests will enjoy an exceptional evening of dining, ceremony and celebration at The Royal Marines Charity Ball - all while helping raise vital support for the Royal Marines family of serving personnel, veterans and their loved ones.

The Band of
His Majesties Royal Marines Scotland

We are honoured and privileged to welcome The Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines Scotland to provide the evening’s entertainment with a special private performance for our guests.
Renowned for their exceptional musical excellence, precision and ceremonial tradition, Royal Marines musicians are instantly recognisable in their distinctive white helmets and are celebrated for the spectacle and grandeur they bring to every occasion.

As the only Royal Marines band based north of London, the Scotland Band performs at prestigious engagements across the UK and internationally, including historic national events such as the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and the coronation of King Charles III. Their performance will bring an unforgettable sense of prestige, tradition and energy to this extraordinary evening.

The
Royal Marines Charity
This extraordinary evening is held in support of The Royal Marines Charity, which exists to provide lifelong support to the Royal Marines family. Guided by the ethos “Once a Royal Marine, Always a Royal Marine,” the charity ensures that serving personnel, veterans and their families are never left behind, providing practical help, connection and support through life’s challenges.

Funds raised on the night will support the vital work of the Royal Marines Association Grampian, helping strengthen the Corps family across Scotland by providing friendship, advice and assistance to serving and retired Royal Marines, their families and those connected to the Corps.
During the evening guests will also share in one of the most moving traditions of the Royal Marine - the “Absent Friends” table. Set for one, with a single empty chair, a lit candle and a red rose, it stands as a powerful tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and are no longer able to sit among their comrades. In a moment of reflection, guests will be invited to raise a glass in the Loyal Toast to ‘Absent Friends’, honouring their courage and ensuring their memory endures.

By attending this ball, you will be helping support the Royal Marines community and ensuring that those who serve — and those who have served — and their families receive the support, care and lifelong connection they deserve.
Thank you
